Gode Wind 3 and Borkum Riffgrund 3
Gode Wind 3 and Borkum Riffgrund 3 are German Offshore Wind Farms, located in the German Bay, which is located in the German North sea within a cluster of projects in the area especially designed for the offshore wind energy production. They are owned and developed by the Danish renewable energy company Ørsted.
Gode Wind 3 and Borkum Riffgrund 3 are located next to the wind farms Gode Wind 2 and Borkum Riffgrund 2. The size of the combined area is approximately 95 km2 with a maximum total installed capacity of 1142 MW.
Once completed in 2024 and 2025 respectively, these wind farms will generate enough electricity to power approx. 1.2 million German households every year.
Rekefjord Stone AS is contracted by Jan De Nul Group for the supply of the scour protection material.
Our material Norit is the designated material for the scour protection for 106 monopiles and one offshore substation foundation.
First the material is shipped from Rekefjord to the Eemshaven, where it will be reloaded onto Jan De Nul Group’s offshore installation vessel for installation on site in Spring 2023.
